Emanuel Navarrete successfully unified the WBO and IBF super featherweight titles on Saturday night. His victory over Eduardo Nunez came via a doctor’s stoppage at the beginning of the 11th round, during their bout at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The ringside physician determined that Nunez’s right eye was too swollen to safely continue, leading referee Benjamin Rodriguez to halt the contest.
